Terms & Conditions
Last updated: February 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
Waterwheel Business AI ("the Service") is operated by The Hakso English School Oy, a company registered in Finland ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation; if you are using it as an individual, you confirm that you are of legal age.
2. What the Service is
The Service is an AI-based English learning environment for working professionals. It simulates workplace conversations with fictional colleagues at a fictional company, provides coaching from an AI mentor character, and keeps a record of your progress. It is an educational tool. It does not provide legal, financial, medical or other regulated professional advice, and outputs must not be relied on as such.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or for fraud, spam or harassment;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- interfere with the security of the Service — no malware, probing, scraping, or attempts to circumvent technical limits or usage quotas;
- attempt to jailbreak the AI, generate illegal content, hate speech, deepfakes or sexual content involving minors, or use outputs to deceive or impersonate real people;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service.
4. AI-generated content
You are responsible for the content you enter (including any real workplace information you choose to describe in Real Work Mode), for verifying the accuracy of anything the AI produces, and for having the rights to any content you submit. AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete. As between you and us, you keep the rights to your inputs; we grant you the right to use the outputs generated for you in the course of your own work and learning.
We may moderate, filter, restrict or remove content, refuse outputs, and suspend accounts where use breaches these terms. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it. Repeat infringement leads to account termination.
5. Our intellectual property
We own the Service and everything in it — software, characters, scenarios, curriculum, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your chosen plan.
6. Availability
We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages and events beyond our reasonable control may interrupt access.
7. Payment and subscriptions
Plans are €49 per month or €239 per six months, VAT included, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle — see the Paddle Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy. Companies can alternatively request an invoice from us directly.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. After termination you may request an export of your learning data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
9. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
10. Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law, and disputes are subject to the courts of Finland. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
